Dear Lynda Thompson:

This is to confirm that my representative has just spoken
to Empire District Electric Company's Customer Service
representative, Lynda Thompson.

We have made a payment agreement arrangement:
      I will mail (via certified mail) a payment of $814.10
      on Tuesday, September 4, 2001 to the Joplin office
      of the Empire District Electric Company.

My representative will call Ms. Lynda Thompson on Tuesday,
September 4, 2001 to confirm the certification number on
the envelope which contains the $814.10 payment.

According to Ms. Lynda Thompson, this payment will INSURE
that my electrical service will not be discontinued on tomorrow
Thursday September 30, 2001.

I would ask AGAIN, as I have requested in writing previously,
that any further correspondence please be sent to me by
unregistered CERTIFIED MAIL.

Obviously, I cannot appear in person by 5:00 pm today as
Ms. Ann Butts demanded in the hand-delivered letter, which
I discovered late this morning.

As I have told Ms. Lynda Thompson in two previous letters,
I am planning on moving on or before November 1, 2001.

I will do my best to pay the two remaining payments of $421.31
for each of the two months of September and October 2001
on time with the out-of-state assistance which will be arriving
the week of September 17, 2001 and October 15, 2001.

I will then be moving on or before November 1, 2001.
