Dear Glen Blake,

I am writing in relation to my previous Tuesday, January 23, 2001 correspondence regarding the agenda for the proposed meeting
between my representatives and those of Empire District Electric
Company and other involved parties.

Yesterday morning, as I was coordinating the printing and mailing
of the extensive letter which I have prepared in this matter, I received
word of a late development which necessitated alterations to the
text of the letter.

The certified letter, therefore, was not completed in time to be sent
in the morning mail.
 
Yesterday afternoon, as I was readying the amended letter for mailing,
I was informed of a scheduling adjustment which mandated that
I revise and re-synchronize the timetable. 

Today, I must consequently verify and coordinate the specific
details of these revisions with other concerned parties.

It is possible that I may be able to adapt the agenda and modify
the subsequent correspondence in time for this morning's mail.
However, it may be more realistic to assume that I will fax you
the letter as soon as the altered particulars are collaborated and
approved -- if not today, then, by Monday (January 29, 2001).

The sequent, confirming certified letter will be mailed that day
and should arrive at your Ozark office shortly thereafter.

Please inform Travis Jones of the Bolivar office of these
re-adjustments in the schedule.
